Dear Parents of Ckids Students,

We are so excited to see everyone this Sunday!! We've been very busy preparing and we can’t wait to get started on another fantastic year.

As parents, we know well that the lessons we teach our children by modeling behaviors speak volumes and have the greatest impact on our children. By choosing to send your child to Ckids this year, you are imparting to them the powerful message that their Jewish education and identity are crucial and constant. Kudos to each of you parents for utilizing this unique opportunity to teach your child the importance of their Jewish education and that COVID or not, it will always continue. We at Chabad are honored and excited to partner with you in this sacred endeavor.

I wanted to go over some details of what Chabad Hebrew School will look like this fall, and until the current situation changes.

We are taking every precaution to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 and protect our students and staff. Below are the precautionary measures we are implementing this year:

1. There will be hand sanitizer in several places around the building. Students will hand sanitize upon entering the building each morning, before leaving, and upon returning from recess. They will also be encouraged to wash their hands with soap if/when necessary.

2. We plan to have classes outside as much as possible, with separate tables per family and/or student, or with appropriate social spacing if using a large table. Since our group is small to begin with, we can do this very easily.

3. All staff and students will wear masks at all times, unless they are seated at their tables, and during outdoor recess if they are maintaining social distances. We understand that mask-wearing can be hard on the children, so being outdoors for the lessons will allow us to relax the mask wearing.

4. Arrival and dismissal policies: For drop off: Someone will meet your child at the gate and escort them from there to their spot/table. Please do not allow your child to enter alone or accompany your child inside, please wait in your car until someone comes to escort your child.  For pickup at noon: Please wait in your car. Someone will bring your child directly to your car. If you need to pick up earlier, please let us know.

We ask that you please be patient and bear with us, as this process may take a bit longer than you are accustomed to. This plan is for the safety of everyone and will prevent unnecessary exposure.

5. Health screening: Forms must be filled out and submitted by 9:30 am every Sunday morning. The weekly form can be found at this link:

6. Each student will be given a personal box containing basic supplies, and any readers or workbooks, Siddur, and anything else they may need for that day. Individually packaged snacks will be provided for each student as well.

Despite these many changes, one thing has NOT changed - Ckids is still the same outstanding, positive and exciting place that it has always been! Our goal at Ckids remains the same-to give your child a Jewish education that is creative, positive, relevant, engaging, and memorable.

We are grateful for your trust and look forward to a successful and incredible year together,
